Supported by Terra's unique ritual framework, you will be guided on a series of 4 empowering ceremonies. Each ceremony holding a different intention, inviting a different - meaningful - practice, and exploring a different point of connection between you and your partner(s).

This program is designed so that you may get to know new parts of yourself, each other and your relationship layer by layer. While the first ceremonies are designed to deepen in trust, each weekly ritual will support you in embracing further levels of intimacy, ultimately bringing in a deep sense of mutual empowerment.

A depthful introduction to the ancient tool of ritual, and how it can serve your romantic and erotic life. Includes a framework to use for your at-home ceremonies with partner(s) or lovers.
4 empowering ceremonies exploring the growth edges of intimate relating, radical self-expression and connection to higher purpose.
Introductions to the 3 pillars of BDSM: Roleplay, Sensation and Power Exchange, as these will be a part of the invited practices.
An inclusive, pleasure-positive setting inviting peer-to-peer support and group learning.
A whatsapp chat including group coaching/support from Terra during the 4-week container.

What this is NOT:

A training focused on the tools, toys and techniques of BDSM. We will explore the energetics and dynamics related to BDSM to support the depth and content of the invited ceremonies.
A therapeutic model or container addressing ongoing conflict in your relationship. We expect a level of healthy challenge to come up for everyone in the container, together with the intention to find deeper layers of expression, purpose and pleasure. However, this training is not intended to directly work with ongoing relational root challenges, which require therapeutic 1-1 support.

Who is this for?

This course is meant for partners, lovers, play partners, or other meaningful intimate relationships looking to deepen their connection and shared purpose through the tools of ceremony and intentionality. The course is open to people in any kind of relationship style and constellation, and the ceremonies are designed to work for two or more partners.

You might be:

A couple, whether monogamous/ish, polyamorous or anything else.
A triad or other poly constellation.
Recently connecting with someone new, and you want to deepen in a meaningful way.
Longer-term partners looking to explore fresh, meaningful layers of connection and intimacy.
Simply curious about how the practice of erotic ceremony may spark a new layer of purpose in your relationship(s).
Self-identified as any (or no) gender, and of any sexual orientation or expression.

You do not need previous experience — only a commitment to set aside roughly 3 hours per week for the duration of the course (including the 4 online sessions) and a willingness to show up for your relationship during that time with power, presence and curiosity.

About the Facilitators

This course is designed and guided by Shadi Terra, expert guide and facilitator in the fields of Ritual and BDSM for healing and transformation. For one of the four sessions, we will be blessed by Laurie Handlers' presence as a guest speaker.

Shadi Terra

Terra is a Shamanic Kink teacher and practitioner, sex & relationship educator, and an inspired transformational ritual facilitator. They support humans of all gender identities, ethnicities and sexual orientations to stand in their power, and own the unique gifts they have.

Terra has explored and trained extensively in the fields of shamanism, sacred sexuality, conscious kink, nonviolent communication and ritual over the past 12 years. They have also worked with ceremonial Cacao as an ally for spiritual and emotional processing for the past 10, taught by Keith Wilson. Terra is a faculty apprentice at the International School of Temple Arts, and has studied with ISTA since 2016.

Terra studied Mayan cosmology extensively with Tzutujil elder Francisco Puac, and they are a devotional song and shamanic voice channel.

Terra identifies as gender nonconforming, and their sexual expression is mostly dominant and ecosexual. They are deep into conscious, shamanic and therapeutic BDSM as an erotic and healing art form, and feel passionate about supporting others to experience the transformation and pleasure available in these realms.

Guest Speaker

Laurie Handlers

Laurie Handlers is the author of two Amazon international best sellers Sex & Happiness: The Tantric Laws of Intimacy and Sex & Happiness: It Gets Better with Age. She’s been featured on Canada’s Bloomberg Report and has appeared in the New York Times. Laurie has appeared live before thousands of people speaking about sexuality, sensuality, embodiment, empowerment, relationships as well as Sex and Radical Life Extension (biohacking). She’s been featured on countless radio shows, podcasts, summits and festivals.

Laurie has been leading retreats worldwide since 1978. She’s hosted a podcast for almost two decades starting with Tantra Cafe and now Sex and Happiness. She also co-hosts a podcast for powerful women business owners called “Power Suits and Pillow Talk.”

In addition to being a Lead Facilitator for ISTA, she facilitates Tantra meets BDSM with Om Rupani and Awaken as Love with James Stevenson. She travels the world regularly offering these courses, retreats and workshops to diverse audiences.

Her current focus is on Extraordinary Lovers because she believes “couples are an endangered species”. Since finding the love of her life at age 67, she and her partner, Michael Gibson, create sacred space for couples and singles to do the work necessary to attract, ignite and maintain love in their lives.

Laurie holds a BA in psychology and sociology and an MAT degree from the George Washington University.
